Emerging Technology Speaker Series Presented by Pentucket Bank The Future of Human-Robot Interaction Exploring UMass Lowell’s NERVE Center and the Latest in Robotics Increasing numbers of robot systems are being developed for and used in homes, businesses, education, the roads, and many other locations. This talk will discuss the future of robotics through the lens of human-robot interaction (HRI) and the work happening inside of UMass Lowell’s New England Robotics Validation and Experimentation (NERVE) Center. UML’s leading expert in robotics, Dr. Holly Yanco, NERVE Center director, will give a broad view of HRI, ranging from the design of autonomous systems to fostering trust to designing user interfaces. This event is free and open to the public.
