Pentucket Player's Mass Appeal

You are invited to join Pentucket Players for a FREE special "Open Dress Rehearsal" performance of 'Mass Appeal' on Thursday, April 29th- Haverhill City Hall Auditorium - 
Exclusively Performed for Members of the Chamber.
 
Father Tim Farley, a lover of the good things in life, is comfortably ensconced as priest of a prosperous Catholic congregation. Without realizing it, he has resorted to flattering his parishioners and entertaining them with sermons that skirt any disturbing issues, in order to protect his Mercedes, his trips abroad and the generous supply of fine wines that grace his table (and his desk drawer). His well-ordered world is disrupted by the arrival of Mark Dolson, an intense and idealistic young seminarian whom Father Farley reluctantly agrees to take under his wing.
 
This brilliantly funny yet compassionate play had a long and critically hailed Broadway run. The play explores the conflict between an established older priest and the impassioned young seminarian who challenges the validity of his well-routined regimen.
 
The Players have joined with Emmaus House Ministries of Haverhill and are sponsoring a discounted ticket to the production if combined with a new paperback Word Search, Crossword or Sudoku book to be donated to Emmaus House.

Pentucket Players Inc. is a non-profit community theatre organization dedicated to bringing quality live theatrical entertainment for and by the community. Founded in 1994, the group has produced over 50 musicals, comedies, and dramas. Pentucket Players Inc. has a rehearsal and storage space at 250 Canal St. in Lawrence, MA, and performs main-stage productions every year in the spring and the fall. Separate auditions are held for each production and all auditions are open to anyone interested in theatre.
