Puerto Rican Art Lecture

Guest Curator Dr. Graciela Trilla of Haverhill, MA will speak about her family’s collection of Puerto Rican art works by the artists of the distinguished “Generación de los Cincuenta” (The Generation of the 1950s). Dr. Trilla will tell some of the stories behind the artwork and the themes such as identity, social justice, exploitation and colonization of the island and its people.

La curadora invitada Dra. Graciela Trilla de Haverhill, MA hablará sobre la colección de obras de arte puertorriqueño de su familia por los artistas de la distinguida "Generación de los Cincuenta" (La Generación de la década de 1950). El Dr. Trilla contará algunas de las historias detrás de la obra de arte y los temas como identidad, justicia social, explotación y colonización de la isla y su gente. Esta presentación es gratuita y estará en español e inglés.
