Ribbon Cutting Celebration - Haverhill Promise Mural
Join us for a Ribbon Cutting Celebration of the Haverhill Promise City-Wide Reading Challenge mural project! "Reading Takes Us Places," a colorful mural depicting children floating down the Merrimack River reading, was painted by over fifty children who demonstrated an impressive commitment to daily reading during the Covid-19 Spring school closures. A fitting quote by Mason Cooley reads, "Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are."
The 5-panel mural was a collaborative effort between Haverhill Promise and Creative Haverhill and is located on Washington Street in downtown Haverhill near the Railroad Bridge.
