Haverhill River Bards Poetry Series
Haverhill's River Bards are a group of local poets with a passion for shining a light on poetry, prose, spoken word, and other literary arts! Twice a year the Bards present a once-a-month poetry series at HC Media. This poetry series features readings by fantastic published poets, followed by open mic readings. These events are family-friendly and open to the public. The fall 2021 poetry series will be offered both in-person at HC Media, 2 Merrimack St, Haverhill, and via zoom. If you attend in person, masks will be required and there is a 50 person attendee capacity limit for the space. If you plan to participate via zoom please click on the “register for zoom here” button below to get the zoom link.
At 7:00 PM, our featured poet will kick off the night with a reading, followed by open mic time until everyone has had a chance to read. You will be able to participate in the open mic portion viz zoom, which will be managed through the zoom chat. You may sign up by typing your name into the zoom chat and then we will call on you when it’s your turn. For in-person attendees, there will be an open mic sign-up sheet so make sure to sign up if you’d like to read and then wait until your name is called. The event will wrap up no later than 8:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you both in person and on zoom!
