NARCAN Training: The Life You save May be a Loved One
One of the primary missions of Eammon’s Heart is to save lives in the face of substance use disorder. To that end, we are hosting four (4) trainings in 2023 to train local citizens on administering Narcan to someone experiencing an overdose.
Naloxone (Narcan) can quickly restore normal breathing and save the life of a person overdosing on opioids. All opioids. Not just fentanyl but the ones obtained by prescription as well. Naloxone is a safe medication used by emergency medical personnel and other first responders to prevent overdose deaths. Unfortunately, by the time a person having an overdose is reached, it is often too late.
This is a FREE class Presented by Rebecca Pichardo, UAR/SUD Project Manager at MGB who will be doing the training and the presentation.
A take home Narcan kit will be provided with the Narcan, gloves, face shield with one directional valve.
